Welcome to my new blog dedicated to bringing you fun projects with photos, videos and step-by-step guides so you can make that perfect gift, heirloom furniture or addition to the man cave. I love do it yourself projects because it is so fun to create something unique with your own two hands than to buy it at the store. You can not only save money but also add some awesome tools to your arsenal.
The first major project was created with some friends in high school. We were required to make a catapult that could launch an egg… well we went a little overboard and ended up with a 20 foot tall medieval trebuchet. Instead of eggs we launched bricks and bocce balls! It is amazing what you can build with just a junky table saw, scrap lumber and some screws. I hope to bring you some unique, fun and practical project plans in the near future.
In other good news, the newest addition to the shop, the DeWalt 12inch double bevel compound miter saw is ready to make some saw dust! I’ll soon show you how to make a miter table fit for any saw that is portable and well help you make more accurate cuts on those longer boards.
